Hockey analytics · Decision intelligence

Beyond the Metric

Measuring how players read the game.

Coaches upload arena game video and Breakout IQ scores every decision moment against a research-backed rubric — turning raw footage into a Team IQ and player profiles that coaches and parents can actually use.

  • Scores every on-ice decision moment
  • Research-backed rubric → Team IQ
  • Strong / slow / missed reads
  • Player profiles for coaches & parents

Caregiving · Dementia support

Tilia

  • One shared, accessible care record over time
  • Plain-language dementia support & helplines
  • Care circle gets a heads-up when things change

Things I build for fun

Tic-Tac-Toe and the collage tool are rebuilt from the original 2012 Django version of this site. The games are newer — built from scratch, inspired by projects and games from past experiences. They all run entirely in your browser.

Tic-Tac-Toe

Two players or you against a (cheerfully naive) computer. Rebuilt from the original server-rendered version — now instant, no page reloads.

If Then Explosion

A retro green cave-flyer rebuilt from the spaceship game I first wrote in Turing. Thread the triangle ship through walls that pinch toward the centre while aliens squeeze the gap — there's always a way through.

Robo Pig Attack

An endless runner in the spirit of Robot Unicorn Attack — only the galloping unicorn is a winged robo-pig. Jump, flap, and dash through crystals as far as you can.

Swole Mate

A Tamagotchi-style handheld: keep a little guy fed and rested while grinding out reps for GAINS. Click a lot, watch the number climb, and don’t let him starve or collapse from over-training.

Get Mitch Quick

A parody of the old DOS text trader Drug Lord / Drug Wars: buy low and sell high, dodge escalating busts, ride the overdraft, pay off the loan shark, and get Mitch quick before it gets you.

The Damn Level

A homage to the underwater dam stage that ended so many TMNT runs — but with platypuses. Swim a scrolling dam maze, defuse every bomb before the timer, and dodge the electric seaweed — you only get four platypuses, and the seaweed wants them all.

Picture Puzzle

A drag-and-drop jigsaw built on the collage tool's drag engine: slice a picture into a 3×3 to 5×5 grid, then drag the scattered pieces into their slots to complete the image.

Collage Studio

Drag photos onto a canvas, arrange them across multiple boards, and export the result as an image. The old Pinprint tool, reborn with modern drag-and-drop.

Experience

Close to 15 years of platforms, APIs & developer ecosystems

Close to 15 years building and scaling enterprise SaaS platforms and developer ecosystems — leading cross-functional teams to ship platform intelligence, automation, and developer-productivity gains.

2021 – 2026

Senior Engineering Manager — App Marketplace

Zoom

Led US engineering for Zoom's App Marketplace: the Unified Build Flow, the Actions automation framework, partner monetization, and developer-productivity tooling across the ecosystem.

2017 – 2021

Senior Engineering Manager — Use Cases

SurveyMonkey (Momentive)

Led the initial build-out of Market Research Solutions, and the cross-functional teams behind it — shipping data-intensive, insight-driven capabilities that expanded the platform into advanced market-research use cases.

2015 – 2017

Engineering Manager — APIs & Integrations

SurveyMonkey

Owned the App Marketplace and developer APIs, shipping 15+ first-party integrations including Salesforce, Slack, Zapier, Tableau and Microsoft Teams.

2012 – 2015

Software Developer → Engineer

Fluidware · SurveyMonkey

Built enterprise survey-platform features (APIs, automation, integrations) on FluidSurveys, and led the FluidSurveys → SurveyMonkey migration that preserved enterprise revenue.

About

I build platforms — and the teams behind them.

I'm an engineering leader with close to 15 years building and scaling enterprise SaaS platforms, APIs and developer ecosystems — lately with a focus on AI-powered, data-driven product capabilities. Most recently I led US engineering for Zoom's App Marketplace; before that, I spent years at SurveyMonkey growing its developer platform and integrations and leading the initial build-out of its Market Research Solutions. The projects above are what I build on my own time.
